Charlie Whooper

The Charlie Whooper Fly has a long standing reputation among the trout fishermen of the Smokies. It is a true Tar Heel State original created decades ago by Charlie “Bear” Messer. The pattern is a robustly hackled sort of stimulator, part stone fly, part Pickett Fence–looking fly that is recommended for early spring. This is a high floating dry fly you will enjoy casting.
