Reel Wings Parachute Caddis

leah kirk

The Reel Wings Parachute Caddis is a peek at the future of fly tying in South. It’ secret is the “Reel Wings.” Reel Wings are the invention of fly tier and fly fisherman Joseph Ludkin. Joseph wanted to design an Ultra realistic wing that was light weight, supple, durable and most importantly a wing that could be used effectively for fishing. Reel Wings come in nine different styles; Spinner, Dun, Ant, Daddy long legs (crane fly), Sedge, Gnat, Flat wings, Midge and Caenis. The wings are available in a range of sizes, they are easy to tie and can be colored with graphic marker pens and ink washes. Reel Wings are incredibly thin and delicate, they look and feel like the real thing, however the specially sourced materials ensures the wings remain very durable and they can withstand multiple takes.
