January 21 & 22the Great Smoky Mountains Outdoor Expo comes to the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, in Knoxville, Tennessee. The brainchild of Ken Moody, this exciting event is an all outdoors consumer show with quality exhibitors/vendors in an interactive, family environment for the outdoor enthusiasts.
“Our mission is to enhance the appeal of the great outdoors for all persons of all ages by allowing attendees to see all the wonderful and exciting pursuits available to them in the natural world,” says Moody. “We will put potential customers and clients in front of our exhibitors showcasing goods and services in their respective outdoors field.”
“In addition to the outstanding collection of exhibitors and vendors showcasing outdoors goods and services, we’ve also added an Interactive Area which will include professional seminars and classes, a Rock Climbing Wall, the World Champions of the Jack Pine Lumberjack Show, and an Outdoors Gear and Clothing Fashion Show with professional models. It will be an action packed two day event,” says Moody.

The GSMOE includes the Live Action Lumberjack Show featuring three-time Ironjack Champion and World Champion Speed Climber Derek Knutson. This action packed, thrilling show will take place for both days of the event. Delivered in a competition format, watch these professional lumberjacks fight it out in demonstrations which include chopping, sawing, axe throwing, cross cut sawing, and log rolling. This show both entertains and educates the audience in the rich history of the American lumberjack.
The event also includes the Hi-Tech Gear & Outdoor Wear Fashion Show where models, provided by Gage Model & Talent Agency, hit the runway displaying the latest and greatest in outdoor gear and fashion. It’s an eye-pleasing opportunity to see hi-tech gadgets, backpacks, warm and not so warm clothing, and more. All gear and clothing provided by show exhibitors, so you can actually buy on site the very items you see in our fashion show.
