Breaking News: Great Smoky Mountain Outdoor Expo

leah kirk

January 21 and 22, 2017, the Great Smoky Mountains Outdoor Expo is coming to the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee. The GSMOE Expo will feature some unique events. One such unique event is a fashion show utilizing professional models and clothing/gear provided by Expo exhibitors. This event will allow exhibitors to have their goods displayed on the runway and highlighted to a captured audience. Camo, backpacks, firearms, etc. will be on display. “If a model can carry it,” show promoter, Ken Moody says, “we’ll be happy to include it in our show.”

“At this time the GSMOE has exhibit space available to interested vendors,” says Moody, who adds, “and we’re going to have a great event.“

“We are sponsoring the Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey organization’s Great Outdoors Night which is an outdoors appreciation night they are providing for their fans,” says Moody. “The expected attendance for the hockey game is approximately 5000 people. We are going to put on an intermission show as well as presell tickets to our event. This game represents a big marketing opportunity for the GSMOE, and we are going to take full advantage of it. The game will be played in the same venue as our show and just one week prior to our event. We may also have some exhibit space available for the game, so some local vendors may want to take advantage of that.

“I’d like to welcome Foxfire Mountains Adventure Park (, and Blackwolff Knives (, as new vendors to our show,” says Moody. “If you are a vendor, guide, outfitter or resort, the GSMOE is a great way for outdoors consumers to meet you—at least as long the available booth spaces remain.”
